What we've been up to in Squirrels class!

We will systematically update our photo display showing some of the things we have been up to in squirrels class over the last few weeks.

Keep checking back to see the exciting things we have been doing!

What are we learning?

Every day, we have Maths and English. In Maths this year, we will be working really hard on place value and adding and subtracting more difficult numbers as well as learning shapes, times tables and other tricky things. In English, we will be enjoying writing stories, instruction texts and rhyming poems!

We love being active when we are learning and we are given lots of fun activities outside or exploring around school.

Our Topics

Our first topic is called "Extreme Earth!" . It's a Geography based topic looking at the Earth, extreme weather and disasters.

Here are some things we will be covering in this topic:

  • World maps
  • Layers of the Earth.
  • Hurricanes
  • Tornados
  • Volcanoes.

If you know anyone who has a specialism in this area or who has been travelling around the world and would like to come in and talk to us about their experience, please contact Mrs Penny or Mrs Jones.

We always love to have visitors in to learn from.
